Cleaver Awards Terms and Conditions

The Cleaver Awards is an initiative brought to you by the Red Meat Industry Forum, funded by the Red Meat Statutory Levy and administered by the South African Feedlot Association.
1.

Participation in the Cleaver Awards is open to South African butchers only.

2.

The Cleaver Awards Management reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions and dates of this competition at any time.

3.

A butchery registration will only be considered valid when the butchery has registered with complete details on Beeftalk.co.za and receives a confirmation email with a unique voting code via return email.

4.

A consumer vote will only be considered valid when the consumer votes for the butcher, using the butcher’s own unique code as provided by the Cleaver Awards Management, on Beeftalk.co.za

5.

Voting Timing:

Consumers can vote for their favourite butchery until 28 February 2023.

6.

Results Timing:

Date to be announced.

7.

The Cleaver Awards Process

  1. Butcheries Register to receive their unique code on Beeftalk.co.za
  2. Butcheries advertise and display their unique code supplied by Cleaver Awards Management.
  3. Consumers vote until 28 February 2023.
  4. Thereafter the South African Meat Industries Company (SAMIC) will carry out unannounced inspections at all butcheries who receive more than 100 votes. The minimum threshold for a butchery to be considered for an award is a minimum score of 75%

8.

By participating in the Cleaver Awards, all participants and winners agree to be bound by these rules, which will be interpreted by the Cleaver Awards Management, in its sole discretion and its decision regarding any dispute will be conclusive, final and binding.

9.

The Cleaver Awards Management does not claim ownership of your submission to the Cleaver Awards and the Cleaver Awards Management reserves the right to publish the name(s) and/or photograph(s) of the winner(s).

10.

Therefore, participants understand and agree that their submission may be posted and publicly viewable.

11.

All participants in the Cleaver Awards indemnify the Cleaver Awards Management, its advertising agencies, advisers, suppliers, and nominated agents against any and all claims, damages or loss howsoever arising, including but not limited to wilful misconduct or negligent act or omission arising from their participation in this competition.

12.

The Cleaver Awards Management reserves the right to terminate the Cleaver Awards program at any time.

13.

The Cleaver Awards Management is not liable for damage to a user’s computer system (including, without limitation, any server failure or lost, delayed or corrupted data or other malfunction) due, either directly or indirectly, to an entrant’s participation in the competition or downloading of information in connection with the Cleaver Awards.

14.

The Cleaver Awards Management reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any given time.
